About Conference

The International Magnetism and Magnetic Materials Conference OLCMMM-2020 – will be held from December 14-15, 2020 in Lisbon, Portugal. Organized by OLC International, the meeting aims to cover all aspects of fundamental and applied magnetism and reviews the latest advances in magnetic materials research with emphasis on industrial and application aspects.

This two-day event anticipates a large number of attendees from the international scientific and engineering communities interested in recent developments in fundamental and applied magnetism to participate in the conference’s proceedings. It provides an opportunity for students and industry and academic professionals to share their current research outcomes and to interact with a large gathering of magnetism researchers and explore the most recent developments in these fields.

OLCMMM-2020 solicits active participation of industry and academic professionals with contributed and invited communications of high scientific level. It will include several inspiring and informative plenary lectures, keynote talks, oral and poster presentations, discussions, exhibition and workshops exploring recent and current advances in magnetism and magnetic materials research.

The main aim of this event is to bring together scientists, engineers, and industry professionals together on a global platform to present their research and development activities focusing on industrial applications of these materials. It covers different fields of interest within the conference’s primary subjects including, but not limited to, novel and special magnetic materials, design and development of electromagnetic systems and components, magnetization characterization, basic magnetization processes, and measurement techniques. We hope OLCMMM-2020 will cover cutting-edge research in magnetic materials and offers comprehensive global discussions that address current issues in magnetism and magnetic materials.

We look forward to seeing you at OLCMMM-2020 in Lisbon.

Lisbon, Portugal

Lisbon is one of the oldest cities in the world, and the second-oldest European capital city (after Athens), predating other modern European capitals by centuries. Julius Caesar made it a municipium called Felicitas Julia, adding to the name Olissipo. Ruled by a series of Germanic tribes from the 5th century, it was captured by the Moors in the 8th century. In 1147, the Crusaders under Afonso Henriques reconquered the city and since then it has been the political, economic and cultural center of Portugal.

The city of Lisbon is rich in architecture; Romanesque, Gothic, Manueline, Baroque, Modern and Postmodern constructions can be found all over Lisbon. The city is also crossed by historical boulevards and monuments along the main thoroughfares, particularly in the upper districts; notable among these are the Avenida da Liberdade (Avenue of Liberty), Avenida Fontes Pereira de Melo, Avenida Almirante Reis and Avenida da República (Avenue of the Republic). Lisbon is home to numerous prominent museums and art collections, from all around the world.

Important Places to visit in Lisbon:
