About Conference

The global market value for advanced energy storage systems is expected to reach US$ 1.39 billion by 2024. The ever increasing demand for these systems, which stems from the ceaseless demand of energy for everyday functioning, reflects the critical need for advanced energy materials. Research in fundamental discovery in materials science, engineering, and related disciplines leads to the discovery of novel devices like advanced batteries and capacitors with high energy storage which are used in different applications.

To further strengthen research and advancement of materials for energy applications, OLC International is organizing the International Conference and Exhibition on Advanced Energy Materials, (Energy Materials-2020) which is scheduled to be held during May 21-22, 2020 in Athens, Greece. The theme of the conference is Exploring Advanced Energy Materials for a Resilient Future, which focuses on the fundamental discovery in renewable energy generation.

The main objective of this premier conference is to promote the gathering of scientists, scholars, students, researchers, policymakers and industry experts to exchange and enhance their knowledge and discover new ideas for future energy applications that are cheaper, safer and easier to discharge and recharge.

Athens is the capital of Greece. Democracy was established in Athens around 500 B.C. It was based on a direct democracy system, in which eligible citizens directly voted on laws. Democracy is definitely one of the first answers which should come to mind when questioning what Athens is famous for.

Athens is a global city and one of the biggest economic centers in southeastern Europe. Greater Athens has an area of 165 square miles. The oldest known human presence in Athens is the Cave of Schist, which has been dated between the 11th and 7th millennia BC.

The first Olympic games were held in Athens in 776 BC. People would come from all over Greece to watch the games where the winners were given olive wreaths. Greeks were so serious about these games that athletes who backed out were fined with cowardice. The first games as we know them were held here in 1896, the city then hosted them again in 2004.
